The thing is when I saw this opportunity pop up I almost didn’t apply because I thought to myself there is no way, but I really took a chance on myself, prayed, and put faith and trusted the process. When I saw the email come through, I fully convinced and mentally prepared myself it was a rejection email and I wasn’t chosen so I didn’t set up myself for disappointment, but what I didn’t prepare myself for was actually being CHOSEN! 😭😭😭 I literally stared at my screen, repeatedly read the message, looked over the contract, and still just can’t believe it, like I had to make sure I was in real life and not dreaming! And if there’s one thing I want you to take away from my experience, it’s this: DON’T COUNT YOURSELF OUT BEFORE YOU EVEN GIVE YOURSELF A CHANCE. I know this UGC journey can feel overwhelming sometimes. You see other creators landing opportunities, getting brand deals, and having their hard work pay off, and you start to wonder when it will be your turn. You start questioning yourself, your content, and whether you’re even good enough. But please, don’t let those thoughts stop you from putting yourself out there. Apply for the opportunities that feel bigger than you. Send that pitch. Create that content. Take that chance on yourself, even when you have no idea what the outcome will be. Because the truth is, you never know what opportunity has your name on it, what brand might see your potential, or what one YES could open the door to. Don’t let the fear of rejection make you miss out on the possibility of being chosen. Keep showing up, keep learning, keep creating, keep believing, and most importantly, keep going even when things feel quiet. Your opportunity might be one application, one email, or one YES away.
