@thegrapevineedit: FIRST LOOK: A little Harry Potter magic is taking shape in Grapevine, and we’re giving you a first look! We got to step inside Gaylord Texan’s Harry Potter ice! while the artists were still putting the finishing touches on some of the incredible creations. And WOW. What these carvers are creating is next level! Here’s something you might not know: The ice! experience is brought to life by a team of approximately 40 master ice artisans who travel more than 6,000 miles from Harbin, China, to Grapevine. They spend weeks transforming more than 2 million pounds of ice into an incredible, walk-through world. Working from detailed design books, these artists use everything from chisels and hand tools to grinders and chainsaws to carve the characters, scenes and intricate details. Some of these techniques have been passed down through generations. We’re talking thousands of hours of craftsmanship! ❄️ And while we’re giving you a peek at some of the Harry Potter magic, we’re deliberately leaving a few things out. Like those ice! slides? Absolutely next level. We don’t want to spoil them, but trust us when we say you’re not going to believe how amazing they look!
