Just the little tip. You should have your meter hooked up to the battery. In a place where you can see it while you try and crank, it shouldn't dip below 9.6 V. If it does, they are caput done finished? Need new ones[Big LOL]

You probably have no warranty on the batteries. Also volts DC still doesn’t determine if a battery is good or bad. You need to check the CCA cold cranking amps after charging the batteries.

That’s not the way to test batteries you are mechanic you should no better than that that will tell you the voltage but it doesn’t tell you if the batteries are good
