@richhhh_craft: I can convince myself to pick up another shift. Work another long week. Give more hours to a job because I know exactly what I’ll get in return. But when it’s time to put that same energy into one of my own ideas, suddenly I need more research. More preparation. A better plan. The “right time.” And I’m starting to question that. Is it really a lack of time—or am I more comfortable with a guaranteed paycheck than the possibility of trying something that might not work? At work, I know my responsibilities. With my own idea, I have to decide where to start, make mistakes, and keep going without knowing whether anyone will care enough to buy what I create. That uncertainty makes another shift feel easier. I respect having a job. Bills are real, and having an idea doesn’t guarantee success. But I also wonder what could happen if I consistently gave even a small part of my week to something I believe in. Something I keep writing down. Something I keep imagining.
