Аnwen 𝖱eid anxiety quiz made me confront something uncomfortable. I wasn't just overthinking, I was constantly expecting something terrible to happen. The workbook helped me recognize that pattern and start questioning those thoughts instead of automatically believing them.

You need to have a fecal calprotectin and a colonoscopy! I’m not diagnosing, but you have many flags for IBD. Specifically crohn’s. I’ve seen this in my mum and it’s awful to see others like it too. All the best [Heartwarming]

Аnwen 𝖱eid anxiety quiz made me reflect on how depression had changed the way I see myself. One of the journal exercises asked me to notice things I was still proud of, and I honestly struggled to answer. It was emotional, but it reminded me that small steps deserve recognition too. ❤️

be careful taking iron tablets as they can be hard on your stomach too!

👋🏼 crohns and fistula sufferer here! Sounds very similar to me. I would say be careful with pre and pro biotics can actually made things worse when in flare. I would stick to very light foods for the foreseeable. Broths, chicken, mash, avocado, occasional kefir I basically lived on for 4-6 months. Remission for 5 years. Seton out last month. Hope things get better for you soon 🙏🏼

Avoid ibuprofen. It is notorious for causing stomach issues. I’ve been to emergency many times before it was realised that I couldn’t tolerate ibuprofen. If you take iron supplements take them every second day. I’ll link an educational video to you which explains why. Look into different forms of iron which are easier on the digestive system. I’m not sure of the name of the product in the UK but here in Australia it is called maltofer. I have horrific digestive issues but this form of iron causes no problems. I hope that my experience can help you.

as much as I applaud you for trying to be upbeat, at the end of the day this IS a difficult process and it IS how you feel. Its entirely valid to say when you arent feeling your best, that can be as supportive to people going through it as your normal content.
For iron, try the liquid sachets, they're much gentler on your stomach than tablets

Going through this sort of thing will leave you feeling completely depleted, plus the savage antibiotics on top really don't help either. Being open and honest is your reality and its good to share as many will experience the same. Wishing you a speedy recovery 🥰
