Can you actually roll the tissue along your hairline, or does it feel completely stuck? 👀 You might be surprised how many people struggle with this simple movement. Your scalp contains layers of connective tissue, including the dense galea aponeurotica and the tissues that allow the scalp to glide over deeper structures. With age, connective tissue can undergo changes in collagen organization, stiffness and mobility. Persistent muscle tension may also contribute to that feeling of restriction. And here’s where it gets interesting for hooded eyes and forehead aging. Your forehead, scalp and muscles controlling eyebrow position work as a connected system. Reduced tissue mobility and excessive tension can influence how freely these structures move. When you try this technique, you’re not simply pinching the skin. You’re lifting and rolling the entire superficial tissue fold, working to improve its mobility over the structures underneath. I remember how difficult this felt for me when I first started! If you cannot create a fold, it doesn’t automatically mean you have adhesions or fibrosis, but it is worth paying attention to tissue mobility. Save this tutorial, especially if you’ve told me that rolling near your hairline feels impossible. And send it to a friend. I’m curious how many of you can actually do this! 🤍
