the thing is, people had a delayed reaction bc nobody in Poland ever hears gunshots in real life, they most definitely thought its fireworks or smth at first, only when people droped dead the panic started

Lived in Poland for almost a year. There is an unusual sense of peace everywhere you go and people are like that too. In the country I come from we are used to the chaos and we feel unsafe everywhere we go (and we don’t even participate in any war yet) you can tell people are afraid to be alive. In Poland it was never like that. Those people definitely didn’t see it coming .
