As a USA to UK long distance relationship I totally agree about constant long talks. Some weeks we talk more than others. But if one needs the night off, it’s definitely OK.

just wondering! why do you think having a visit planned reflects insecurity? i haven't heard this perspective before

I think everyone's situation is different tho. cuz my long distance boyfriend and I dont really text. texting you cant sense tone. we are both old school and would much rather talk on the phone. so cuz we dont text much we make time for face time every night. if we miss a night thats ok. but we love talking and seeing eachother each night.

I feel like this is so real!! I always see people online say call everyday no matter what and always plan out your visits like sometimes that’s not always realistic

I agree! I’m also in a long distance relationship and people are surprised when i say we don’t call each other everyday on the phone. We text everyday but not call. We go days sometimes without calling on the phone. But we always at least text every day and make plans to see each other when we can. :)

That is one thing i never unserstood was talking negatively about partners. Long distance or not, people never knew my relationship was failing until we broke up. It's not their business!

Yeah we talked over the phone everyday and it ruined the relationship for sure but she said she needed to love someone where she lives and I did say the distance could close in a year and a half but she thinks that’s too long :/
