@retro.reanimator: We lost one of the good ones... 💔 Neil Broadley has passed away at just 45. He was Square Enix's SaGa localisation director, and he battled stage 4 colon cancer for years while still working on the games he loved. He started at Square Enix in 2012 on Final Fantasy Dimensions, worked on Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster, and then he helped revive SaGa in the West — Romancing SaGa 2 and 3, SaGa Frontier Remastered, Emerald Beyond, Revenge of the Seven, and SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered. His final project was Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United, coming February 2027. He knew he wouldn't be here to see it release, and he still spent his last years preparing the next generation to carry SaGa forward. His last message to fans was: "always be kind to everyone you meet, but especially to yourself" and "I wish you all nothing but health, happiness, and a long life." He is survived by his partner of 25 years and his dachshund, Noah. 🐕 Rest in peace, Neil. Thank you for bringing SaGa back to us. 🕊️ Drop a follow for more all nostalgic and super retro content!
