this might be one of my favorite meaningful DIY projects ever. 🥹🤍 I used @calligraphr.app to turn my parents’ handwriting into downloadable fonts, and it was so funny listening to them talk about their handwriting while filling out the templates. My dad has always called his “chicken scratch,” but I love it so much. My mom was a school teacher and taught me how to write, so seeing how similar our handwriting is and how we form certain letters was such a sweet reminder of how much we are alike! (btw not a sponsored post at all I just thought this was so fun!!) Here’s how to make your own: 1. Go to calligraphr.com and create a free account. 2. Download a character template from the website and print it on plain white paper. 3. Have yourself or a family member fill in the letters and characters with a black pen. 4. Take a clear picture of the completed template with your phone, making sure the corner markers are visible. 5. Log into Calligraphr, go to “My Fonts,” and upload your completed template. 6. Add the characters to your font, click “Build Font,” and download your finished font file. 7. Install it on your computer to use in programs like Microsoft Word, or upload it to Canva if your plan supports custom fonts! Imagine preserving your parents’ or grandparents’ handwriting this way. You could use it for cards, scrapbooks, family recipes, or handmade gifts. A little piece of someone you love that you can keep using forever. 😭 Save this for your next family craft day! Would you make one of your handwriting or a family member’s? #MeaningfulDIY #FamilyCrafts #DIYProjects #SentimentalGifts #CraftIdeas handwriting font tutorial · meaningful handmade projects · fun crafts to do with parents · family craft activities · personalized DIY gifts · Calligraphr tutorial · creative ways to preserve memories
