The person that bought it at the deliquent tax auction burned it for cheap cleanup, so they didn't have to pay to demolition it or for asbestos removal because the land was worth more than the building. Cleanup cost will now be less than half of what it was previously going to cost.

Imagine that. The building was not wanted by certain people. This town is so beyond messed up it's actually not even funny. The grown adults in this town, some that were running for mayor all acted like children, NOT CHRISTIAN people they were claiming to be, not someone who cares about the community, just pure petty, jealous, hateful people. It's actually sad. But that fire was probably the result of one of them hateful people. and them firefighters could have been hurt, they are someone's husband, father and sons and could have gotten hurt bad. or worse. This is not a community anymore, no one has any compassion,or pure genuine love for anyone anymore. if you don't have money or plugged in to something with cameras shoved in your face so the world can the good dead your doing, then nobody wants anything to do with you. What y'all should have focused on during this election was what could be done for the kids in this community, there's nothing here for them. Nothing but watching these grown role models act like a complete idiot. Well I'm just gonna go ahead and say it, what y'all are showing these kids is not Christian behavior. As leaders, do better, work together and make this community better for these kids.
