Straight from my father’s Jewish bakery to your kitchen 💛 This is the recipe I grew up with and the one I love sharing with you year after year. Nothing beats homemade hamantaschen, perfect for your mishloach manot and to enjoy at your seudat Purim. 🧡 Classic Hamantaschen Ingredients • 2 sticks softened butter (226g) or margarine for parve • ¾ cup powdered sugar (75g) • 1 large egg • 3 cups all-purpose flour (about 400g) • 1 tsp vanilla extract • ¼ tsp salt Fillings (choose your favorite): Apricot, raspberry, poppy seed, Nutella or non-dairy chocolate, date filling, halva… anything you love! ✨ Pro Tips • Don’t overfill — too much filling = open cookies. • Chill shaped cookies 30 minutes before baking (or flash freeze 10 minutes). This helps them keep their triangle shape. Instructions 1.	Cream butter and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy. 2.	Add egg and vanilla. Mix well. 3.	Add flour and salt. Mix until combined. – Too dry? Add 1 tbsp water at a time. – Too sticky? Add 1 tbsp flour at a time. 4.	Form into a ball, wrap, and refrigerate 30 minutes. 5.	Roll dough to ⅛-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. 6.	Cut into 3-inch circles. 7.	Add filling to the center. Pinch tightly into a triangle (really pinch!). 8.	Place on parchment-lined baking sheet and chill again. 9.	Bake at 350°F for 15–20 minutes, until edges are lightly golden. 10.	Cool and dust with powdered sugar.
