@thesameerproject: In Gaza, winter means being displaced all over again. Today on November 7, heavy rains in Gaza City completely submerged Yasser’s family tent. The mattresses they slept on were soaked. Every piece of clothing inside, including the children’s clothes, was wet. Their family had already been displaced. Now the tent they depended on for shelter is gone, too. And this is the case now for over 150,000 families. While so many of us are warm and dry, children in Gaza are watching floodwater seep into the places they’re supposed to sleep. How is it acceptable that a family can lose everything, start over in a tent, and then lose what little they have left in a single night?
