I’m so glad I raised my kids to not expect a lot of presents under the tree. Life is the biggest gift of all. It’s gotten so commercialized that it takes away from the real meaning of Christmas. 💜

Can you look into local churches doing community Christmas gifts for families who need help ? I believe growing up my mom used a church and donors would pick up that child and buy them a bunch of things !!

With the number parents that got on social media about the gifts they received, a lot of people are choosing not to participate or adopting nursing homes. Donations will probably be way down this year.

I thought I was the only one I called salvation army. They told me they were using a different website. Couldn't even find the website called again. And they told me they were close and when you try applying on your actual website for months, it says that it's closed
