I agree to an extent. Blush n blu was like the only lesbian bar in Colorado before it closed because they kept doing poetry nights??? We do need more sapphic places especially for people like me who are butch. It sounds like the problem is more mean people not that we need less spaces 😭

I feel like if we had more sapphic spaces then it'd fix the problem. like if there were more options you could go to a place that fits the vibe you want. like with regular bars you can join a space that fits your need, so to speak. if you wanna chill, eat, and have a few drinks, then go to a pub. if you want to dance, party, and get wasted, got to a club. then we don't all have to cram into a One-size-fits-all space. this comes off whiney like the answer is not get rid of the space because you didn't have fun, it's add more so everyone can.

Went to a lesbian bar in LA. Walked in with my friend and literally no one spoke to us the whole night except for the bartender who only spoke to us once. The place was full of instagram types and their beautiful Instagram gay friends. It was also freezing cold because they had the front door open in the small space in the winter time. The bathroom was really incredible though.
