@fox.la: UPDATE: The driver who plowed into a crowd outside an Arlington Heights grocery store has been arrested on suspicion of reckless driving. Police say the driver lost control in the parking lot of the Superior Grocers on Washington Boulevard, struck a parked car, and then hit eight pedestrians on the sidewalk. Bystanders actually had to step in and pull two pinned victims out from under the car before paramedics got there. All eight victims were rushed to the hospital, including a three-year-old child and a person in their 60s who is in serious condition. The driver stayed on scene and told officers he thought his brakes failed.
