I got admitted at the hospital for my cyclic vomiting and the lady in the room next to me had sever dementia and didn’t sleep while maxed out on sedatives for three day… three whole days, and she wasn’t the nice calm type she was yelling and cussing everyone and everything out. After day two of the yelling I had so many questions and felt so bad for the nurses

I GOT CHOKED BY A RESIDENT, A BRUISED NECK FROM IT AND MANAGEMENT WAS LIKE 'WHY??? WHAT DID YOU DO.' I was changing his wet underwear... but he threw punches at them, they sent him to the hospital, THE HOSPITAL SENT HIM BACK AN HOUR LATER SAYING HE'S JUST GOT ANGER ISSUES, HE WAS HEALTHIER THAN ALL OF US STAFF.

The amount of times I have heard i didn't know they could be so mean from a resident family member.Well your mum or dad has been using us like their own personal punching bag for months and management just laughs at us when we ask for help.As someone who permanently disabled because a resident attacked me while I was on minimal wage,I am so glad I left heathcare.

I know my son is an asshole when he’s in the hospital that’s why I always sleep bedside. I mean I can’t blame the kid as he’s got some major medical ptsd at this point, but I am not leaving all that craziness for the nurses.
