@nezukoeditzz16: Sae Itoshi is a major antagonist and supporting character in the sports anime and manga series Blue Lock. Known across the globe as "The Prodigy" or "Japan's Treasure," he is widely recognized as the country's best football player. He plays as a midfielder for the youth academy of Spain's RE·AL Club (Real Madrid) and is a prominent member of the prestigious New Generation World XI. He is also the cold and detached older brother of Rin Itoshi, one of Blue Lock’s top contenders. 📊 Character Profile Attribute Details Age 18 years old Height 180 cm (5'11") Dominant Foot Left Position Central / Offensive Midfielder (Former Forward) Voice Actors Takahiro Sakurai (JP) / Alejandro Saab (EN) ⚽ Football Abilities & "Weapons" Sae operates on the field with strict logic and cold efficiency, valuing pure results over sentimentality. • Perfect Kick Technique: His ultimate weapon. He possesses near-flawless precision in both high-speed passing and shooting at seemingly impossible angles. • Metavision & Reflex: Sae reads the entire field dynamically, processing the movements of everyone on it to instantly dismantle opposing formations. • Beautiful Destruction Dribbling: A style that uses minimal, calculated movements to force defenders off-balance and break through lines with cold grace. 📖 Key Background & Story Arc Originally, Sae left Japan with a singular, fiery ambition: to become the world's greatest striker alongside his brother, Rin. However, after experiencing the brutal realities and overwhelming gap in talent within European professional football—specifically after confronting senior Real Madrid prodigies like Leonardo Luna—his ego as a striker was entirely crushed. Recognizing his own limitations but refusing to leave the sport, he shifted his dream to becoming the world’s best midfielder. When he returned to Japan to renew his passport, he initially held deep contempt for Japanese football, viewing the country's players as weak. However, after learning about Jinpachi Ego’s hyper-competitive "Blue Lock" experiment, his interest was piqued. He agreed to play for the Japan U-20 National Team in their historic showcase match against the Blue Lock Eleven. During this match, he acted as a ruthless catalyst, forcing his brother Rin and the other forwards to awaken their absolute egos on the pitch.
