@joshuablatch: Claude can grade my videos to match pretty much any look I love, and the prompt is at the end. The problem is that it started matching numbers, and the reels I loved were shot in completely different light than my room. So start from a frame of your own footage, straight off the camera, and tell @claude the look you're going for. The most important piece is to have it show you a side by side on your own footage before you use it, and to pick by eye with your text and graphics on. Then have it take your footage only part of the way there. Ours is our film look at sixty percent, so it never looks overcooked. Oh, and ask it what a filter can't fix. Mine told me my face was darker than the wall behind me, which it definitely was, so now I know what to change when I film. I use this with our photos too. We just did a race shoot, and now they all look like they belong together. Here's the prompt. Follow and drop a comment if you have any questions. I want my footage to have a color grade I love. Here's a still from a video whose look I want: [REFERENCE STILL]. Here's a frame of my own footage, straight off the camera: [MY FRAME]. 1. Measure the reference with a script on my computer: how dark the shadows go, how bright the highlights get, the tint in the shadows, mids and highlights, and how saturated it is. 2. Build a .cube LUT that moves my footage toward that look, but only about 70% of the way, so it never looks overcooked. 3. Save one side-by-side image: my original frame, my frame with my current grade if I have one, and my frame with the new LUT. 4. Tell me what a LUT can't fix in my footage, like my face being darker than the background, blown-out highlights or a color cast from the room, and what to change when I film. Then wait. I'll pick by eye, on my own footage with my text and graphics on, before you use it anywhere. #claude #claudecode #ai #colorgrading
