Ghost,HauntedOpossum🍉🇵🇸 :
time go fishing is also the reversed and upside down version of dies irae, the death melody which was done purposely to signify hope for both species. the dies irae melody pops up several times throughout the entire soundtrack which is really cool in itself

The fact that they all are cheering so they can live and not for Grace is sickening

Maybe hot take. But I think it’s the best movie soundtrack of the decade. So many moves have good and great music but PHM had music that just clicks so perfectly. It had emotion timing, drops, rhythm, and tempo all down perfectly and it’s made so beautifully.

the fact they also purposefully put the positive songs and Rocky's natural Eridian voice in the same key so we would associate Rocky's voice with good things when we first heard him even though he wasn't translated

also the prominence of string music is amazing, iirc the violin is one of if not THE closest instrument to the human voice 😭

it could also be meant to represent something primal. despite the incredible and advanced technology of both earth and Erid, they're both in the "stone age" in certain aspects, and both in the realm of space travel being both worlds first voyage.

Time Go fishing also has one part where there is two sets of ticking one set ticks every other tick of the second set because Eridian seconds are 2 human seconds, and it's the time for both planets ticking down

this, and the use of ocarinas and flutes in most osts could be heavily implied as erid cheering on for rocky aswell. (atleast thats how i interpret it)

thematically this is stunning, but I'm disturbed because I think this technically qualifies the soundtrack as 'stomp clap hey' music
