What's frustrating is, when this scene was cut they replaced it with Greedo, so by putting it back in we get two scenes with virtually the same dialogue. Infuriating!!!

Thats not even close to the biggest problem with this scene. It turns Jabba into a greedy fat dumb crime lord that can literally be walked over. this does not track with any of his other characterisation

in the original script there were more than one bounty hunter, with Han also having to kill Gredo's boss and one other guy before THEN confronting Jabba but it was cut for time. all this is in the BBC radio version of Star wars
