They had probable cause for a search warrant. The conversation was unnecessary. I’ll go so far as to say that it probably wasn’t smart to talk to him a second time without one, especially by letting him know exactly what evidence to dispose of.

Same thing happened to me at Walmart. I left my card at self checkout. The only difference is a cashier stole my card and purchased $500 worth of stuff. She spent a weekend in jail and had to pay the money back.

Funny how he says “ I never had HIS card” and he also said “what did he do? leave the card on a machine or something” who said it was a man’s card? lol it was confirmed it was a man after he said he..when the cop says “he left it in a propane machine”
