@alexxdagr8: Got a call for a stray and found this guy when I got there. He walked right up to me, super friendly and let me put a slip lead on him. Neighbors nearby said they’ve been seeing him for the last week but they don’t know where he lives. When I led him back to my truck he seemed fine and interested. Once I scanned him for a chip there was some yellow flags; stiff tail/body and his ears were pinned back. After I scanned him he loosened up and let me pet him again so I figured I’d try and lift him onto my truck. He did NOT like that and let me know. After multiple attempts and a 10 minute breather I was able to get him onto the truck using the ramp. He had a collar with a chain on it but no tags and no microchip. Back at the shelter he was not too happy, giving low growls and side eyeing but didn’t give us a hassle getting him off the truck. We’ll see if anyone comes forward to claim him during his stray hold and go from there. #animalcontrol #acolife #straydog #microchipyourpets

Do you not know that especially with working dogs that you dont know you DONT lean over their backs like that? he's a dominant dog you can see it in his body posture and leaning over his back is "challenging" his dominance (that's why dogs put heads over the shoulders of other dogs, to show dominance) and 9 out of 10 times you are going to get a reaction like that if not worse.

They should do a wooden ramp. Or carpeted. My Shiba avoids metal grates, road covers like it’s LAVA. I’ve tried to train her to ignore it by short leashing her to walk over them with me, she’s better about it but I can tell she haaaaates walking on metal.
