@mattmahansj: We can't prevent storms from hitting our city, but we are taking action to prepare. I joined dozens of volunteers, the Coyote Mudlarks, Urban Compassion Project, San Jose Conservation Corps and Charter School at Coyote Creek this morning to remove what’s called a trash raft — an accumulation of debris that blocks water flow. We’re doing everything we can to take care of these hotspots before major rainfall hits, but we need the state to lean in. Stay tuned to hear how we plan to advocate for their help in keeping our city safe this winter and join us next week: https://www.sjmayormatt.com/clean-ups
