I was married for almost 20 years, and some of the hardest lessons I learned about LOVE came AFTER my divorce. 💔 For years, I thought loving harder, praying harder, being more patient, and forgiving repeatedly would eventually change things. But what I didn’t understand back then was that you can love someone with everything you have and still lose yourself trying to make that relationship work. I had to learn that being chosen doesn’t always mean being valued. That promises mean nothing without consistent action. That being single is better than feeling alone in a marriage. And that my worth was never determined by whether my marriage survived. Girl, divorce didn’t just teach me what love ISN’T. It forced me to rediscover who I was outside of being somebody’s wife. And through my relationship with Christ, fitness, and intentionally rebuilding my life, I learned something I’ll never forget: You should never have to abandon yourself just to keep somebody else. If you’re rebuilding after divorce or a toxic relationship, please remember that your marriage ending doesn’t mean your purpose ended. God is not finished with your story. 🤍 💬 LET’S TALK: What’s ONE lesson about love you learned the hard way? Share in the comments if you’re comfortable. Your experience might be exactly what another woman needs to hear. ❤️ SAVE this reminder, SHARE it with a woman who’s rebuilding, and FOLLOW @sheisfit4god for more real conversations about faith, fitness, and healing. #healing #divorce #women #relationships #toxicrelationships
