She’s been up since 1 AM. I’ve been crying since 2 AM. And somewhere in between another feeding, another attempt to get her back to sleep, and another look at the clock, I started feeling like I was the only person in the world awake. You know those nights? The ones where you’re so exhausted you could cry, and then you actually do. The ones where the baby needs you, your body needs sleep, and you’re trying so hard to hold it together. The ones where you love your baby more than anything, but you’re also overwhelmed, touched out, and wondering how you’re going to make it until morning. Sometimes the hardest part isn’t just being tired. It’s feeling alone while you’re tired. Then I opened this app. 💛 And there were all those little yellow lights. Other moms awake right now. Moms feeding their babies. Moms rocking newborns. Moms pumping in the dark. Moms walking around their houses for the hundredth time. Moms who are exhausted, emotional, and just trying to get through the night. And suddenly, I wasn’t looking at an empty, dark world anymore. I was looking at other moms who were awake just like me. I couldn’t reach through the screen and hand them a coffee. I couldn’t take their babies for an hour so they could sleep. But I could see them. And sometimes, when you’re feeling completely alone at 2 AM, knowing someone else is there means more than you realize. So if you’re reading this while your baby sleeps on your chest, while you’re rocking them in the nursery, or while you’re quietly crying in the bathroom… Look at the lights, mama. 🌙 There are other moms awake with you. You don’t have to pretend tonight is easy. You just have to take the next moment as it comes. One feeding. One deep breath. One little light at a time. 💛 #postpartum #postpartummom #newmom #newbornmom #newmomlife
