The reason you need to prove that you are "committed to the brand" is because the product is terrible. For something so expensive there's almost no quality control and if they let people who aren't diehard Ferrari fans buy their most expensive products who aren't, it would get harder and harder for them to hide the fact that their cars are straight trash.
