McClellan was a known coward and idiot, who regularly disobeyed Lincoln's orders and even snubbed said president. I don't think siding with him or putting your backing behind him would be very smart😂

They had the best generals early on, maybe, but even then it was because the commander in chiefs we had were garbage until Grant because most figured it would be a short war but the confederate army lost most of the battles that were fielded, even Lee lost most of the men he lead into battle. He is way overhyped, stonewall was a better commander than Lee

It's more accurate to say the South had better tacticians who could win individual battles or even make the impossible possible. However, the North overall had better strategists that understood that you may not win every battle but that every casualty the south took wasn't easily replaceable, that their economy couldn't survive without trade, or that they couldn't fight on multiple fronts.
