@lvegasbynight: 🎸FROM THE MIRAGE VOLCANO TO A GIANT GUITAR—LOOK HOW FAR IT’S COME! 🏗️👀 by @Ytbossbae 📍Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas 📅 Construction progress: November 19, 2024–November 7, 2026 Nearly 2 years of transformation at one of the Las Vegas Strip’s most recognizable locations! Here’s what’s happened & what’s still ahead: 🌋2024: Saying goodbye to the Mirage The Mirage closed on July 17, 2024. Demolition & site preparation followed, including removal of its famous volcano to make room for the new guitar-shaped hotel tower. By November, crews were clearing the site for the next stage. 🏗️2025: Building from the ground up Foundation work progressed into vertical construction. Throughout the year, the guitar tower rose above the Strip, with work on its neck visible by December. 🎸2026: The guitar becomes a landmark The tower celebrated its topping-out milestone on May 1, marking the placement of its final structural beam. Blue-glass installation continued, giving the building its increasingly recognizable appearance. 🏨What happened to the original Mirage tower? It’s being retained and extensively renovated! Its gold windows are being replaced with blue glass, while the interiors undergo a major transformation. 🔨Where does construction stand? The latest published photos before this update showed most of the guitar tower enclosed in glass, with crews still working around its upper crown. Exterior renovations and interior construction also continued inside the former Mirage tower. 👀What’s next through the end of 2026? Watch for further progress on the remaining exterior sections, the guitar’s upper features, and interior build-outs across the property. Individual completion dates remain subject to the construction schedule. 🗓️When can you stay here? The full resort is targeting late/Q4 2027, with an exact grand-opening date still to be announced.
