@thesameerproject: This was before the storm. We refuse to wait for catastrophe to act. When families told us their tents were worn out and falling apart, our Gaza team got to work before the rain hit. On October 29, as part of our Yalla Na’marha Campaign where we support entire camps, The Sameer Project installed seven tents and 11 tarps at the School for the Gifted in Sheikh Radwan, Gaza City. The distribution reached 11 families, 65 people in all, with new tents - including one dome tent - and tarps to reinforce them all, at a total cost of $1,690 after 11% banking fees. When we have the funds, we put them to work. When we have tents and tarps, we get them to families who need them. Every night matters when the roof over your children’s heads is already tearing. Now the storm has flooded camps and left more families without a dry place to sleep. Please share this and give to The Sameer Project’s winter campaign on our General Fund so we can get buy tents, buy tarps, and get shelter to more families now.
