@npr: A new study finds rates of e-bike and scooter injuries are on the rise among children and teens across the country. Brain injuries were twice as common among kids injured on e-bikes and e-scooters compared to their non-motorized counterparts, and 8% of patients with e-bike injuries had major problems or needed ICU-level care — twice the rate of high-severity injuries versus non-motorized bikes. The data comes from the medical records of over 13,000 young people treated for bike, scooter and skateboard injuries at six large U.S. pediatric hospitals over the course of three years. Replace the word e-bikes with the word cars and it’s exactly the same.

a lady at my gas station just buried her 13 year old boy from an E-Scooter accident. They had a brain bleed and eventually pronounced brain dead after several surgeries.

that was a stupid comparison @npr just made like comparing skates/skateboards to walking. If anyone wants to do a fair comparison, compare ebikes/escooters by top speed to their fuel counter parts and their injuries resulting from such motorized activities.
