@f1edits81341: Why is Mercedes so wholesome and then so bad at times #f1 #formulaone #oscarpiastri #mercedes #mclaren

f1edits38141 :

I’m so happy for Lando but this just brought me right back to wondering why a billion dollar team couldn’t pay the fine for skipping media to have their then championship leader on the podium with them

Nox (Taylor's Version) :

I was kind of terrified that George wouldn't go there, i felt relieved when i saw that he was the first to arrive. He loves this team, he couldn’t have stayed away. And McLaren had a moral obligation to pay for Oscar to be there last year, too, it was very unfair.

ang⁶³ ³ :

I kid you not I stayed waiting for the constructors celebration ONLY to make sure George was up there 💔

🛴uisa :

putting an explainer for everybody who still thinks this was delibarate: you can clearly see the difference in people up on the podium between McLaren and Mercedes. Reason is that before last year, the WCC has never been celebrated up on the podium, instead it was always down in pitlane. The celebrations for Mclarens WCC in 2025 were totally unplanned and only parts of the team were rushed onto the stage without being informed prior. Lando, having finished P3, was already leaving podium on the stairs back down when McLaren was brought up so he went back with them. Unfortunately Piastri was P4 and in the media pen at that time because again, this was an unplanned first time celebration up on the podium on a complete whim so basically half the team including him was missing.
