Mutton Biryani مٹن بریانی Ingredients * ½ cup oil * 2 onions, sliced * 1 kg mutton * 2 tomatoes, sliced * ½ tbsp green chillies, sliced * ½ tbsp red chilli powder * 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste * 5 tbsp yogurt * 1 tbsp cumin * 1 tbsp black pepper powder * 1 tbsp salt * 2 tbsp biryani masala * 1 glass warm water * Fresh coriander, chopped * 1½ glasses soaked rice * Water * 1 tbsp salt * 3 lemon slices * 2 star anise * 3 cinnamon sticks * 5–6 cloves * 3 bay leaves * 2–3 green cardamoms Method 1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry the sliced onions until golden. Add the mutton, tomatoes, green chillies, red chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, yogurt,all spices mentioned above and warm water. Pressure cook for 30 minutes after the first whistle. 2. Open the cooker, evaporate any excess water, then add fresh coriander and green chillies. Sauté until the mutton masala is thick. 3. In a separate pot, boil water with salt, lemon slices, star anise, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves, and green cardamoms. Add the soaked rice and cook until 95% done. Drain well. 4. Layer half of the rice, spread the mutton masala over it, add tomato slices and chopped coriander, then cover with the remaining rice. Sprinkle food colour on top. 5. Cover and cook on dum for 10 minutes. Serve hot with raita or your favourite side. #muttonbiryani #cookingtales11 #viral #fyp #biryani
