Before everyone invades my comment section to say “wtf bla bla bla bla” read this caption; this era of activism is so fucking performative, because yall didn’t care about this before. “don’t stop talking about ____” but your previous 20 posts were rants about tiktok drama, though these events are obviously not recent. “black people don’t hang themselves” yes, this is very true, but to spread this information without any sources on how to help or support causes that prevent these things, you posted a performative ass tiktok and will go back to regularly posting the next day. “Don’t stop talking about gaza” yet you make no efforts to genuinely SUPPORT gaza, outside of bs “awareness” tiktok’s. Yall make a joke out of activism and it’s crazy, especially in this era of social media and how privledged we are to be able to speak up. I’m not against awareness, no, but when you post shit like this instead of doing something about it, you are bound to criticism. No, doing something for the cause doesn’t need to include “donating” if you’re excuse is that you don’t have money, shine light on activists which have genuine intent & resources to actually make a difference. How to help: > Vote in local elections > Volenteer in local civil rights movements > Contact state representatives & demand full transparency > Speak out about these situations in a raw, truthful manner. > Support/share fundraisers/aid for these communities - https://naacp.org/ - https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/what-we-do/where-we-work/palestine - https://immigrantjustice.org/ways-to-help/ - https://envisionfreedom.org/impact/ - https://www.wfp.org/emergencies/palestine-emergency - https://eji.org/projects/community-remembrance-project/
