Be grateful. If they did cash it they would take 1% or $10 whichever is greater cause you don’t have an account.

This is why chase won’t allow anyone but account holder to deposit money in an account. They keep the account under the check amount.

I’m not sure portraying the person cashing the check who’s left in the dark as spiteful creates a sympathetic message for the teller. Yes, you had to deal with someone upset. But they went without money. Tellers are ridiculous.
