They don’t compensate you if it’s not a fault of the airline. Specifically do not compensate you for air traffic control issues.

If it’s beyond their control they don’t have to compensate. Ie in the Uk the computers went down, nothing they could do means no compensation

This is not correct.. this falls under exceptional circumstances outside the airlines control. So not entitled to compensation.

Yes the video totally forgets to discuss the disclaimers. Strikes and ATC faults are not covered by compensation rules

Unfortunately our flight got cancelled from Jersey to BHX on Blue Islands, but as BI are based in Jersey (not UK or EU) no compensation :(
