No, your subtotal does NOT have to be $25 after coupons. Sometimes employees go by word of mouth or are misinformed. Subtotal has to be $25 BEFORE coupons but AFTER DISCOUNTS (think instant savings, sale prices, etc). When reviewing others receipts 99.9% of the time the problem is couponer error. This could be anything from getting the wrong size/price, a digital coupon not attaching to a certain scent, calculating regular price instead of sale price, etc. This is why it’s so important to scan using the dollar general app to confirm the price and that the digital coupon is attaching.
