@birdtails: Apparently the conures wanted a play date 😩 For those wondering why I have 4 conures in the bottom portion, eventually when I do end up moving the conure pairs will be seperated into the top and bottom of the cage and the lovebirds will be in their own large cage. I have kept the conures together since they were young but I think it’s finally time to seperate all of them into their pairs as the new place will have the space. For now the conures are in the bird room when I’m out and the lovebirds get to come out when they feel like it (they much prefer their cage.) They are fine together as was demonstrated today but both species can be cheeky and due to the size difference I like to supervise. Having different species of birds can be challenging for a variety of factors, but it’s definitely doable, you just need to have schedules that allow EVERYONE to be happy. Thankfully my lovebirds if given the choice prefer the inside of their cage (unless they get chased out like they clearly did today)
