Less oil in the seasoning process even if it takes a few more rounds. Itl stop those spots on the griddle. plus you need to do the walls inside and out.

I know everyone is telling you what you are doing wrong, but the only issue I see is the amount of oil, it’s meant to be a very thin layer of oil. You don’t want bubbles or streaks.

I've never scraped mine as hard as you did. heat and water do wonders. just used a scrub pad with the water and oil it up. (Not nearly as much as you.) Too much turns it sticky.
