No it is not "raw" as it's cooked in the process of the tofu making! So whether you enjoy it cold or hot is just personal preference. Prep: 5 mins Cook: 5 mins Ingredients 1 pack silken tofu (rectangular or tube) 1 tbsp sunflower oil (or any neutral oil, you can use less or more depending on how oily you want the sauce to be) 1 small diced shallot (or sub for 1/4 cup diced red onion) 1/2 tbsp minced garlic 1/2 tbsp minced ginger 2 tbsp light soy sauce Small splash of dark soy sauce (optional, for colour) 1 packed tsp brown sugar To serve Green onions Fresh coriander Fresh chilli and/or chilli oil Fried shallots Sesame seeds Method 1. Open the packet of tofu and carefully drain off any excess water. Transfer onto place and slice if needed. You can serve this COLD or HOT. For hot, steam the tofu for 6-8 minutes or until completely warmed through OR heat in microwave for 2-3 minutes. 2. In the meantime, add the oil, garlic, ginger and shallots into a small saucepan. Turn the heat to low and gently sauté 5 minutes or until golden. Add in the soy sauce and sugar and mix well to combine. 3. Pour the prepared sauce over the tofu. Top with green onion, coriander, fresh chilli, fried shallots sesame seeds. Serve immediately! 🍃🌶️ Served in my @cookdinehost Anaya Side Plate.
