@danidaifuku: ONE OF THE OLDEST SHRINES IN JAPAN The Kashima Jingu Shrine (鹿島神宮) in Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture is one of Japan’s oldest shrines that was supposedly built in 600 BC. The whole area is really spacious - There’s a whole park dedicated to the Shrine. There’s even an area with deers that you can feed, it’s said that the famous Deer from Nara Park came originally from Kashima Jingu. at the very end of the park you’ll be able to see the famous pond (Mitarashi Ike). The pond is naturally fed by underground spring water. There’s even koi fish in that water, together with the toori gate it’s a one of a kind view. This was one of the nicest Shrines I’ve visited so far - I really liked how spacious it was and I think it’s super unique. Would you like to visit this special shrine too? 🔖 save this post for your next trip to Japan! 🇯🇵 ⛩️ Kashima Jingu Shrine (鹿島神宮) 〒314-0031 茨城県鹿嶋市宮中2306-1 🚅 JR Kashimajingu (~10 min. walk) #Japantravel #HiddenGemsinJapan #japan #Japaninfluencer #Kashima #kashimajingu #traveljapan #tokyodaytrips
