The masking tape is shipping tape and can definitely peel paint after awhile so I would not recommend

use painters tape all over the wall so once you need to remove it then you don’t have damage

Usually, if it’s matte paint, it will leave patches where the paint will chip off. Try for a longer period of time just to be safe!

Peel and stick is the devil. I pulled off peel stick tile and the entire wall broke into large chunks.
