Parking is a necessity for most grocery stores to survive in America and most cities have minimum parking requirements for retail spaces. These parking minimums often mean that more real estate is used on parking than for the store. The bigger the store, the bigger the parking and the more expensive the lease is. Trader Joe’s small stores allows for small parking lots and their streamlined shopping experience helps overcome this problem. With most products sold under the Trader Joe’s brand and with just one size, customers can make quick decisions and be in and out much quicker.
