🇲🇦 Seafood Pastilla Bla Warka 🦐🐟 | No Pastry Sheets! As usual, I love saving time when I cook… and especially being able to put my pan straight on the table! 😛❤️ This version is perfect for anyone who can’t be bothered to get the pastry sheets out, assemble everything and turn the oven on. Let’s be honest, though: nothing beats the crispy crunch of a traditional pastilla! 😍 But this is simply another way to enjoy it , quicker, easier and just as delicious. So, shall we give it a try? 🛒 Ingredients 🦐 500 g calamari rings
🦐 450 g peeled and deveined scampi
🐟 Cod fillets (quantity depending on your preference)
🍜 300 g mung bean vermicelli
🌿 1 bunch of fresh parsley and coriander
🧄 5 garlic cloves
🍋 Juice of 1 lemon
🍅 1 tsp tomato paste
🌶️ 1 tsp paprika
🌿 1 tsp cumin
🫚 1 tsp ginger
🐟 1 tsp fish seasoning
✨ ½ tsp turmeric
✨ ½ tsp black pepper
🌶️ 1 tsp harissa
🥢 Soy sauce and oyster sauce, to taste
🫒 Olive oil
🧈 A little butter (optional) 👩🏻‍🍳 Method 1️⃣ Make the marinade: Add the parsley, coriander, garlic, paprika, cumin, ginger, fish seasoning, turmeric, black pepper, tomato paste, harissa, soy sauce, oyster sauce, olive oil and lemon juice to a food processor. Blend until smooth. 2️⃣ Marinate the fish: Coat the cod fillets with some of the marinade and leave the flavours to infuse. 3️⃣ Cook the calamari: Heat a drizzle of olive oil and a little butter (optional) in a large pan. Add a few spoonfuls of the marinade, followed by the calamari rings. Cook until done, then remove and set aside. 4️⃣ Cook the scampi: Add a little more butter if needed, followed by a few spoonfuls of marinade and the scampi. Cook until done, then remove and set aside. 5️⃣ Cook the cod: Add a little more marinade to the pan, place the cod fillets inside and cover with a lid. Cook, carefully turning the fillets halfway through. Once cooked, remove and set aside. 6️⃣ Prepare the vermicelli: Cook the mung bean vermicelli in very hot water according to the package instructions. Drain well, then add them to the pan with the remaining marinade. Mix thoroughly so they absorb all those delicious flavours. 7️⃣ Assemble the pastilla: Arrange the calamari over the vermicelli, add the scampi, then gently place the cod fillets on top. Pour over the remaining cooked marinade from the calamari. 8️⃣ Time to eat! Put the pan straight in the middle of the table and let everyone help themselves. Simple, generous and packed with flavour! 😍 💡 Tip: The butter is optional, but I like adding a little to help prevent the ingredients from sticking to the pan. Adjust the soy sauce and oyster sauce to your taste. What do you think of this Pastilla Bla Warka? 🇲🇦❤️ #moroccanfood #moroccanrecipe#pastilla#EasyRecipes #FoodTok
