Can you give an example of how id lose at this? Like what if I bought at $5 ($500) with a 1 week covered call at $7 per share but it goes to $3? The call wouldn't execute but if just own stock worth..

Good info for beginners. Collars, Condors and Vertical Credit spreads are a better way to optimize gains while limiting / minimizing your downside risk. Can you do more content at intermediate levels?
