Apple trained their AI on licensed content and web data, not user data. And they have whitepapers detailing their security plans for Private Cloud Computing and the system image for it will be (1)

I was talking with a co-worker about the ID card holder I bought and 5 minutes later I get an email with links on where to buy ID holders. And they expect me to believe that they won’t use my data 🤔

They aren’t charging people for this. They don’t stand to gain from harvesting data. In fact, the stand to loose a lot if they were found to be accessing now they’ve said this.

It can work. And they are not even the first one to do this. You can absolutely run locally a llm. There are open source ones you can try out.

Uhm. Can’t you train an AI with fake/public data, implement it on a device, and then let it work on your private data? Should be fairly simple right?

You can literally run generative AI on your machine today... just checkout one of the open source ones. But training using machine learning and using an AI model are two different things...
