@bodycam.action: Here's what happened: On June 27, 2023, around 2:30 p.m., Arkansas State Police Dispatch received a 911 call about a silver Lincoln MKZ Hybrid speeding on the southbound shoulder of I-530 near mile marker 30. White Hall Police Chief Greg Shapiro, stationed near mile marker 35, attempted to catch up to the vehicle. Sgt. Jeff Preston, leaving Troop E Headquarters, observed the car driving over the Exit 36 overpass at an estimated 100 mph. As Sgt. Preston activated his lights and siren, the driver, Casey Register, continued southbound at over 120 mph, weaving through traffic on the shoulder. Trooper Terrell Pratt joined the pursuit near entrance ramp 39. Register's reckless driving continued until Sgt. Preston performed a tactical vehicle intervention (TVI) near entrance ramp 43, causing Register's car to spin out and hit the guard rail. The impact caused Register's vehicle to ricochet into Sgt. Preston's car before coming to a stop in the middle of the southbound lanes. Register was arrested without further incident. A search of his vehicle revealed a small bottle of T-HC cann-abis oil and a vapor-smo-king pipe. Register, treated for minor scratches at the scene, was transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for evaluation and then booked into Dub Brassell Detention Center on multiple charges. #cops #copsoftiktok #speeding #carchase
