There’s a big difference between thinking someone is innocent and believing a conviction is unsound. The burden is on the prosecution that the person is guilty beyond doubt and there is doubt.

Also, check the investigating officers, sometimes implanting happens mentally on a professional level, could have done something wrong to sway potential witnesses, maybe not.
