OK, I agree with everything BUT the rule of making them keep their doors open when friends are over. Why? I understand if its maybe a first time the friend’s over or you dont know their parents very well, but REALLY, its ok to be protective of your children but LET THEM GROW SOME INDEPENDENCE! Let them learn how to build trusting relationship and learn to assess the situation themselves. And let them make mistakes and learn from them! If it’s a trustworthy friend you know, give them some privacy. Never teach children to grow a sense of dependancy or limit their actions to make them seek rebellion
