I had no symptoms and I tested positive for hsv1 56.50 was my score that was the first guy I kissed this year :( I know it was from him cause I got tested last year and it was negative

What are the other ways it can present ? Besides a bump or sore. is there anything specific you can look out for ? Some also say it can present differently in men vs women but idk if that true or not

should you just get blood tested every time? won’t you test positive for it even if you get cold sores (i know that’s a type of hsv but i’m wondering if there’s a separate test or if it’s the same)

i got HSV 1 from someone kissing me when i was a newborn and now i’ve got it for the rest of my life. Anything can trigger it. Weather changes, Citrus, dry lips, literally anything. Stress too.
